Citrawarna Malaysia 2016





Citrawarna were first introduced in 1999 to promote and celebrate the arts, heritage, culture and nature and the uniqueness of the best Malaysia through light show, music, dance and fireworks spectacular at night.



The annual Citrawarna organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia carries a unique theme each year. It is known throughout the world as The Malaysian event to watch, as it presents the best that this country could offer through a spectacular display of light & sound as well as dance & fireworks.



In 2016, Citrawarna defines the theme of Malaysian myth and folklore. To be held on 25th September at Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur, there is a long list of shows lined up depicting the myths and legends of every Malaysian state.

· Selangor – Upu Chendera
· Negeri Sembilan – Sang Kelembai
· Johor – Puteri Gunung Ledang
· Terengganu – Bukit Puteri
· Melaka – Hang Tuah
· Perlis – Jentayu
· Kelantan – Cik Siti Wan Kembang
· Pulau Pinang – Iktisyaf (Pertemuan)
· Perak – Anak Panah Perak
· Sabah – Kuminodun Puteri Nabahu
· Sarawak – Tugau
